The U.S. Department of the Army has submitted an order for a contract for the deployment of a large contingent on the territory of Europe, Federal Business Opportunities website reports.
The Agency intends to conclude a contract to provide maneuvers of United States Army Europe, USAREUR. This contract is for the transportation of equipment, cargo, and passengers within the European Command (EUCOM) Area of Operations. In addition, a separate task is to provide logistics during the main military exercises. The EUCOM Area of Operations includes all European nations, with the exceptions of: Iceland, Malta, Holy See, Monaco, San Marino, Malta, Kazakhstan, Republic of Ireland, Belarus, and Russia.
It provides line haul, heavy lift capabilities, and bus capabilities to support major exercises, deployment, and redeployment of units.
