Dodon: Moldova is Interested in Gas Supplies From Russia bypassing Ukraine

Moldova is interested in Russian gas supplies bypassing Ukraine, said the president of the country Igor Dodon. “Definitely, it is very important for Moldova to get energy products continuously. I remember the beginning of 2009, when I was a vice-premier and when the transit of [Russian] gas through Ukraine was blocked this was a very serious problem for Moldova. Therefore, if there is an additional opportunity to get Russian gas through other alternative routes, it is interesting for us”, he said during a trip to Volgodonsk.
