Germany Aims to Add New Dynamics to Minsk Process - Foreign Minister

The German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that Berlin wants to add a new dynamics to the Minsk process, he said in an interview to the Welt Am Sonntag. “I am cautiously optimistic about the UN’s peacekeeping mission”, Maas said. According to him, the German Foreign Ministry discusses this issue both with Ukraine and Russia. “Ukraine’s stabilization, an armistice and the establishment of a demarcation line remain the goal of Germany. If we can realize the Minsk agreements, we can discuss the lifting of sanctions”, the German Foreign Minister said. Source: RBC
