Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the relations between Ankara and European Union are beginning to normalize. Cavusoglu said that relations with the EU “have started normalizing on a firmer basis”, Anadolu reports. According to the minister, Turkey intends to continue negotiations on visa liberalization with the European Union. “In the coming days there will be a meeting of the delegation of the Turkish foreign Ministry first Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans. We intend to intensify contacts with the EU on visa liberalization”, Cavusoglu said. The minister went on to say that Ankara was open to an impartial dialogue with Washington to settle existing disagreements, provided that the United States did not use “the language of threats”.
