Moldova-Russia Economic Forum will be held in Chisinau on September 20-22. The Republic of Moldova and the Russian Federation should enter a new level of economic cooperation, stated President Igor Dodon in the Sputnik Moldova press center, where the Moldova-Russia Economic Forum agenda was discussed. “This is a major event. The Russian Federation is a strategic and economical partner of Moldovan entrepreneurs. The purpose of this forum is to resume economic relations between Moldova and Russia. Hundreds of economic agents of our country have expressed a desire to participate in this forum”, the head of the state said. The President notes that there will be specific negotiations on investments that Russian businessmen will make to the economy of Moldova. “We will discuss in detail the investments that can be made in our country, new opportunities in economic relations. I think we will be able to talk about new projects after this forum”, Dodon said. The President states that both countries should move to a new economic cooperation level, especially after the difficult period following the signing of the Association Agreement between the EU and the Republic of Moldova. “I think we should give new impetus to the economic relations between Russia and Moldova. We want Russian investors to come to Moldova and open new markets by investing in our country”, said the head of the state. The Moldovan-Russian economic forum will be held annually in Chisinau and the Russian Federation. Source: Noi.md
