The United States has supplied the largest shipment of ordnance to the U.S. Ramstein Air Base in Germany for the last 20 years, says the site of base administration. 100 containers with a variety of munitions rolled there  last month. There has not been such shipment since the end of the last century. It took more than 900 flights for almost three months to transport cargo. According to the U.S. Air Force statement, weapons are designed to provide a rapid response against threats made by aggressive actors. After the annexation of Crimea, the United States began to allocate several billion dollars annually to strengthen European defense. The American military contingent is deployed in the Baltic countries and Poland. Together with other allied forces, about 4,000 soldiers, these rapid reaction forces are designed to hold back the alleged Russian offensive until the arrival of the main groups in case of a conflict with Moscow.
