There are already 4.5 thousand American military on Polish territory, but Warsaw agrees to further increase their numbers. Polish authorities are expecting a U.S. response on the American military buildup on its territory, said Polish President Andrzej Duda. “We expect that this presence will be increased, but whether the number of military personnel will be increased, or the number of places of their deployment ... or the number of polygons, the American side will take this decision”, said Duda at a joint press conference with the presidents of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė in Lublin, Poland. Duda stressed that Poland agrees on the presence of American military on its territory: “We are expecting a response from America, but we cannot yet say what kind of it is going to be”. The Polish leader noted that currently there are 4.5 thousand U.S. military in Poland. Earlier the US ambassador to Poland, Georgette Mosbacher said that the United States would significantly increase the number of military in Poland, adding that the increasing in the number of U.S. military in Poland is associated with the creation of a U.S. base.
