President Igor Dodon spoke about the meetings with the leaders of the socialist Party (PSRM), the Democratic Party (PDM) and the ACUM bloc, which took place on March 26. “I saw the desire to participate in the dialogue and I consider it a personal success that I was able to achieve this step”, Dodon said for NTV Moldova. As ipn.md reports, Dodon also spoke about the plans of the main political players and how, in his opinion, the negotiations should develop further. Regarding the PSRM, the President noted that this party should “set the tone” for negotiations on the creation of a coalition. “The PSRM has the most mandates”, he added. The head of state said that he noted the openness of the PDM and their readiness to negotiate. “They don't talk about posts. I think that they will make decisions depending on the behavior of other parties. But I warned them that I do not want “political worries”. We need a legitimate government with power”, Dodon said. As for the meeting with the leaders of the ACUM bloc, the President said that they had a good dialogue. “I saw their desire to do everything possible to avoid off-year elections. It is their right if they want to take full responsibility and take positions of the speaker and the Prime Minister. It is important that they realize the impossibility of discussing their package of laws until the leadership of the Parliament is elected”, Dodon said. It should be recalled that on March 26, Dodon held consultations with representatives of the parliamentary factions of the socialist party, the Democratic Party and the ACUM bloc.  The initiative of the President to discuss the creation of a parliamentary majority responded all invited, including the leader of the democrats Vladimir Plahotniuc. On March 25, the President invited all parliamentary parties except the Shor party to sit down at the negotiating table. According to the law, from the moment of the first session of Parliament, the parliamentary factions have three months to form a parliamentary majority. Otherwise there will be off-year elections.
