During the direct line at the "Perviy v Moldove" ("First in Moldova") channel, Moldovan President Igor Dodon answered inter alia the question about the return of money from the stolen billion. "We have a firm position on this issue. Almost all the assets of the participants in the theft were blocked or arrested. Their property is put up for sale, money is already arriving in the budget. Two billion MDL have already been received, we are waiting for another 2-3 billion," the President said, aif.md reports. "The main problem is that most of the stolen amount was withdrawn from the country, and now we monitor the cash flows of theft participants abroad - something that the previous government did not do. All of them bought houses, opened a business, and so on. We took this issue under control in order to return this money to Moldova as soon as possible. I think that half of this amount can be returned very quickly by seizing assets and putting them up for sale," Igor Dodon said.
