Financing of the Republic of Moldova will continue only if the conditions established by the European Union are met. The EU Ambassador this statement made in Chisinau, adding that Europeans are closely following the actions of the Chicu government in the field of justice reform and anti-corruption, protv.md reports “There are conditions for making the following payments. They were always present in our help. Conditions fulfillment will allow continuing financing,” the diplomat said. Peter Mikhalko made it clear that Europeans are waiting for concrete reforms and analyze the progress of the Chicu government in justice reform and the fight against corruption. “We do not pay money in advance, but pay for what has already been done,” Mikhalko said. “This is money that should not be returned if used properly,” the diplomat added. Over the past six years, according to the budget adopted by the EU, through only bilateral programs, the Republic of Moldova received more than four hundred million euros out of almost 750 million allocated funds. A week ago, another development program for the Ungheni and Cahul districts was launched. The money allocated by Europeans will be invested in social and economic projects.
