In Moldova, MP from the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Stefan Gatсan announced his withdrawal from the PSRM faction and joining the Pro Moldova party. Gatсan announced this on June 30 on Facebook. NM tried to reach Gatсan, but he did not answer. “The society and I had great expectations. Unfortunately, during these several months of work as a deputy in the parliamentary majority, I did not see any progress and effective measures to save the health care system. (...) It got to the point that I felt ashamed to look into the eyes of my colleagues. PSRM had a unique chance to solve people's problems and lead the country out of the crisis. But, unfortunately, endless political wars, serious mistakes in governing the country, unprofessional decisions, lack of courage and even the lies while managing the COVID-19 crisis forced me to step back from these actions that go beyond the interests of citizens and the state,” Gatcan wrote. At the same time, he noted that "he is deeply impressed by the courage and dedication with which the new political party Pro Moldova is fighting for the interests of citizens." Recall that in March, Stefan Gatcan won the parliamentary elections in the single-mandate constituency No. 38 in the Hincesti district as a PSRM candidate.
