Presidential candidate Maia Sandu, if elected head of state, will initiate early parliamentary elections. Sandu’s representative, MP Dan Perciun, stated this during the electoral debate on the Moldova 1 TV channel, not failing to notice that the electoral competitor from the Action and Solidarity party is betting on removing corruption schemes and transforming the parliament into an institution with honest, decent and responsible people, trm.md reports. After becoming president, Maia Sandu will prevent laws that give the green light to group interests. “With the current parliament, serious reforms in the field of justice are impossible. Unfortunately, we will not find 51 deputies in the legislative body who want to see thieves in our country in jail, who would support the purge of the judicial system. Therefore, it is important for us that early parliamentary elections take place immediately after the presidential elections,” Dan Perciun emphasized. Maia Sandu is number six in the ballot papers. The presidential elections in the Republic of Moldova will take place this November 1.
