On December 25, Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Zinaida Greceanii and Vice Speaker Vlad Batrincea met in Moscow with Dmitry Kozak, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Russia. Former President of Moldova Igor Dodon, Bashkan of Gagauzia Irina Vlah and Mayor of Chisinau Ion Ceban attended the meeting as well. The press service of the parliament reported. The meeting participants noted the positive dynamics of Moldovan-Russian relations this year. They expressed interest in continuing relations development. During the meeting, the officials discussed the strengthening of the strategic partnership between the two countries, the prospects for economic relations development between Moldova and Russia at the regional level and cooperation between the administrative centers. “They also noted the need to fully use the potential of bilateral relations. At the same time, they emphasized, in particular, the importance of the opportunities provided within the framework of the CIS for strengthening cooperation between our countries and peoples,” the message informed. The Moldovan delegation thanked the Russian leadership for their help in overcoming the coronavirus epidemic on both banks of the Dniester and for gratuitous assistance to Moldovan farmers who got affected by drought.
