The main topic of the online discussion of the World Economic Forum in Davos, which will be attended by about 1.5 thousand people from 70 countries, will be "restoring trust and expanding international cooperation." Leaders from a number of the world's leading developed and developing countries, including Germany, India, Italy, China, the Republic of Korea, Russia, France, South Africa and Japan, will take part in the Davos Agenda Online Meeting, launched on Monday 25 January, as part of the World Economic Forum (WEF). The event will last until January 29, and the main topic of discussion, as the organizers said, will be the discussion of the "new global situation" related to the coronavirus pandemic. In total, it is expected that about 1.5 thousand people from 70 countries will take part in the "Davos week". In addition to heads of state and government, these are heads of international organizations, business representatives, prominent experts in various fields of activity. "Restoring trust and expanding international cooperation is critical to fostering innovative and bold solutions to end the pandemic and support a lasting recovery," WEF Chairman and Founder Klaus Schwab quoted TASS as saying that the upcoming online discussion was "unique." The meeting of the heads of world business and politics is traditionally held in the Swiss resort city of Davos at the end of January. In December 2020, the WEF leadership announced that in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, an in-person summit could be held from May 13 to May 16, 2021 in Singapore.
