The vice-chairman of parliament from the DA platform said that the situation in agriculture is catastrophic, and farmers are at risk of being left without subsidies this year if the budget is not amended. Alexandru Slusari wrote on social networks that according to information received from the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture, out of 1.1 billion lei from the Agricultural Development Fund, about 800 million will be paid on debts in 2020, and more than 200 million lei are intended for startups and rural development. Thus, less than 100 million lei will remain to subsidize agricultural activities this year, tv8.md reports. “The situation is disastrous! There is no one to fix the budget, there is no place to find money to increase the budget for farmers under the conditions of the interim government, tired of this political life,” Alexandru Slusari wrote on his Facebook page.
