It seems to the PSRM chairman “very strange” that the Giurgiulesti port, in which more than 50 million euros were invested, was sold for only one thousand euros. Igor Dodon announced this in the framework of the new release of his video blog. He noted that “it is necessary to see if the legislation has been violated” when concluding the deal, aif.md reported. "It is very suspicious and doubtful what is happening. I do not want to criticize the EBRD. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is a strategic investor in Moldova, which has invested in a number of areas. I really hope that there is no violation of legislation and any schemes." But, if I am not mistaken, the Law on the Status of the Port of Giurgiulesti - there is such a special law - stated that not a single strategic object, including the port of Giurgiulesti, should be sold without the consent of the government, - he said. Dodon also noted that the land under this port is the exclusive property of the state. "And if someone tries to use the port of Giurgiulesti to the detriment of the country's interests, any deal can be canceled and the object will be returned for use in the strategic interests of Moldova," he concluded.
