The U.S. President Trump, speaking on Monday to reporters, reiterated that Washington intends to denounce the US-Soviet 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty due to its violation by the Russian side.
The President stressed that U.S. would build up its arsenal.
“America would build up its arsenal until the countries such as Russia? China or any country would realize that they cannot threat our security and security of our allies with impunity. Russia has not adhered to the spirit of that agreement or to the agreement itself”, said Donald Trump.
A new presidential statement followed on the eve of a meeting between his National Security Adviser, John Bolton, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is expected that John Bolton will announce to Vladimir Putin about Donald Trump decision to abandon INF Treaty.
