The Action and Solidarity Party announced that after the July 11 parliamentary elections, it will initiate amendments to the Constitution in order to be able to confiscate illegally obtained assets. This was announced by the PAS candidate in the early parliamentary elections, Andrei Spinu, tvrmoldova.md reports. The article in the Constitution proposed by the PAS will have the following wording: "Article 46. The right to private property and its protection. (3) Legally acquired property is not subject to confiscation. The acquisition is assumed to be lawful, with the exception of property owned by civil servants and persons holding public office." Moreover, Sergiu Litvinenco announced another project to be proposed by the PAS. It will deal with the amendment to article 70 of the Constitution and envisage the lifting of immunity from parliamentarians in the event of committing crimes related to money laundering, corruption, misuse of position and illegal enrichment.
