The chairman of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) Dodon believes that it is necessary to unite the center-left forces. For this, the bloc of communists and socialists is ready to offer its platform for rebranding purposes. Dodon told about this on July 16 in his video blog "President Igor Dodon Answers".
The PSRM chairman proposes to unite all the center-left parties. And the Bloc of Communists and Socialists will be a platform for this.
"The pre-election bloc that we have created should become a platform for discussion and movement in this direction. If you want - rebranding and all that is needed in order to gain strength for further political struggle. These elections showed that the center-left forces have great potential. Despite the fact that the PAS received 62 mandates, only 52%, and within the country, without the diaspora, - 47%, the result of all center-left parties is close to the result of the PAS. That is, there is potential," Dodon said.
The head of the PSRM noted that his colleagues and he will discuss with representatives of other parties "the idea of uniting the center-left forces", which could happen in the fall.
Recall, as Dodon said earlier, the Communists and Socialists at a joint meeting of the political executive committees decided to create a single faction in the parliament of the new convocation "A Single Faction of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists." Blok also made a written appeal to citizens. "We understand that time-servers with the habits of executioners came to power. Our common task is to stop them. Today, we call on everyone, who is not indifferent to the fate of the Moldovan state, the life of our citizens, the future of our children and grandchildren, to unite. We will represent in parliament both those voters who voted for parties that did not pass the electoral threshold, and those who voted for our opponents, because they will soon need protection. (…) As long as we are united, we are invincible!" reads the appeal published on the website of the Party of Communists on July 13.
According to preliminary results, winning in the July 11early parliamentary elections is the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) with 52.80% of the vote. The pre-election bloc of the Party of Socialists and the Party of Communists is second with 27.17% votes, according to the CEC. The Shor party with 5.74% of votes is third. Other formations, according to preliminary data, do not enter parliament. Thus, the Renato Usatii bloc won 4.10% of the vote, the Dignity and Truth Platform (DA) party - 2.33%. The rest of the candidates received less than 2% of the vote.
