During the inaugural summit of the Crimean platform in Kiev, Maia Sandu met with high-ranking European officials.
Among them is the Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, with whom Maia Sandu discussed the 50 million euros allocation for the Republic of Moldova,
stiri.md reports.
“We discussed the allocation of 50 million euros - about one billion lei - from a package of macro-financial assistance, for which almost all the conditions have been met. The only condition for receiving this tranche, on which we do not have sufficient progress, is a clear strategy to recover money stolen as a result of bank fraud, which the prosecutor's office should have developed,” the president said.
During the talks, the head of state reaffirmed to the Vice-President of the European Commission the commitment of the new Chisinau government to reform the judicial system, eradicate corruption and strengthen state institutions to restore the confidence of our citizens in the country and improve their well-being.
