On Monday, October 11, an EU representative told reporters in Brussels, TASS reports. “A €600 million tranche will be allocated in the coming days”, he said. It is also noted that the European Union and Ukraine will discuss joint efforts to combat hybrid threats and disinformation at a bilateral summit on October 12. “We will discuss what else we can do in order to combat hybrid threats and disinformation”, he added. In addition, at the meeting, the parties will discuss all possible case scenarios regarding the gassupply. “We will discuss in detail with Ukrainiancolleagues the means to increase gas supplies. This will be an important topic of discussion between the leaders. The European Commission will work with Ukraine on all possible scenarios this winter”, he said. The representative also added that the EU is discussing a military training mission for Ukraine and may make a decision in the first half of November. “We are exploring the possibility of supporting Ukraine's capabilities, including in professional military activities”, he said. Also, according to the EU representative, the foreign policy and security committee will meet in the first half of November to evaluate and make a final decision. Recall that the European Commission in September approved the allocation of € 600 million to Ukraine. The actual payment of funds to Kiev was expected to take place at the end of October.
