Russian President Vladimir Putin said that it is necessary to analyze the situation with drones “near the Russian borders.” This was reported by RIA Novosti on Tuesday, November 2.
According to Putin, the Russian military has learned how to effectively repel attacks in which drones are used.
“We know very well how it [unmanned aircraft] has proven itself in the armed conflicts of recent years, how effective and how dangerous it can be for us, bearing in mind what we have observed in Syria - terrorist attacks using unmanned vehicles,” Putin says.
He added that the Russian army has more than two thousand drones in service.
Recall that the other day the Armed Forces of Ukraine were reported to have used Bayraktar for the first time in the Donbas. As the General Staff stated, this was done in response to the shelling of D-30 howitzers, as a result of which one AFU fighter was killed, two were wounded.
After that, Russia accused Ukraine of trying to return Donbass by military means and reproached the West for supplying weapons to Kiev.
Germany and France also expressed concern about the use of drones, to which the Foreign Ministry replied that Ukraine had not violated any agreements.
