President Volodymyr Zelensky will consider the proposal of the Foreign Ministry to break off diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Russia.
He said this at a joint briefing with Estonian President Alar Karis.
“We see with you an attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state. That’s for sure,” he said, speaking about the entry of Russian troops.
According to Zelensky, he received a request from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sever diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Russia.
“Right now, immediately after our press conference, I will consider and work through this issue, and not only this issue, but our effective steps to respond to Russia’s escalation,” Zelensky said.
