In the context of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, Moldova is now treated as a member of the European Union. This was stated by the deputy of the European Parliament from Romania Siegfried Muresan.
In his Facebook post, he thanked the Republic of Moldova for everything it is doing now for the citizens of Ukraine, reports deschide.md
“Moldova is now regarded as an EU member state. It will receive EU support, just like any other EU member state. We will provide Moldova with everything we can provide to support the EU member states. We thank the Republic of Moldova for everything it does for the people of Ukraine,” Muresan wrote.
Recall that yesterday, on February 24, the Parliament voted to impose a state of emergency on the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova in connection with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
The authorities organized events to support foreign citizens crossing the State border of the Republic of Moldova. After the activation of the Situational Plan for Managing the Flow of Migrants, the Ministry of Internal Affairs commissioned the creation of temporary centers in Palanca and Ocnita.
At night, the transportation of people from the Palanca border crossing was organized.
