PSRM MPs appealed to the Constitutional Court against the government's decision to liquidate universities. "This reform is not transparent," said Vlad Batrincea, PSRM executive secretary. "Today, we attacked the so-called university reform, which lacks transparency, in the Constitutional Court. The reform was not discussed with the academic or university community. In fact, this reform affects university autonomy. We have filed an application to cancel this reform," Vlad Batrincea said. As we reported earlier, the Government has voted for a draft decision on reorganizing through merger (takeover) of a number of institutions in the field of education, scientific research and innovations. The Bashkan of Gagauzia demanded that the project be removed from the agenda, but this proposal was not supported by ministers. The trade union of the Agrarian University and the Farmers' Power Association protested against the reform proposed by the Ministry of Education that envisaged the liquidation of the Agrarian University.
