Law enforcers drew up 42 protocols during a protest in central Chisinau on Sunday. They recorded offences endangering public order and security
About 3,600 people participated in the rally, the Inspectorate General of Police (IGP) said, moldpres.md reported.
“During the rally there were cases of law violations, in particular breaches of public order, and transporting participants to the event. Citizens were transported in vehicles that do not comply with the technical norms, despite the previous incidents when some vehicles caught fire or had accidents while transporting participants to the rally,” the IGP report reads.
Thus, inspectors of the National Agency of Road Transport, together with police, found 91 violations during the transportation of passengers.
At the same time, the organizers of the protest did not comply with the preliminary declaration regarding the venue of the rally, changing it to the square of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Maria Biesu.
Law-enforcement agents also intervened to free a traffic lane for special-priority vehicles, given several ambulance calls when doctors could not reach callers.
On 19 February, a protest was held in the center of the capital. It was organized by the Movement for the People, which includes the Shor Party.
