FT: Xi Jinping to Talk to Zelensky after Meeting with Putin

After his visit to Moscow and meeting with Vladimir Putin, Chinese leader Xi Jinping will hold a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. This is to become the first direct contact between Xi Jinping and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Financial Times reports citing sources, unian.net informs. “According to one person familiar with the matter, Xi may call Putin’s nemesis, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after his trip to Moscow. It would be Xi’s first direct contact with Zelensky since the full-scale invasion,” the article says.
