Yesterday, on May 21, attendants of the European Moldova rally voted for the Resolution confirming the aspiration of the Republic of Moldova to become a full member of the European Union. The Secretary General of the President Office welcomed the adoption of the document and briefly voiced the main provisions of the Resolution. “For many years we have been talking about the need for a Snagov Declaration with regard to the European integration of Moldova, a declaration that would unite us all around this goal. It happened. Yesterday, people voted on the Great National Assembly Square the Resolution for the European Moldova. Tens of thousands of people from the country and from the diaspora said it unanimously. We, the people of the Republic of Moldova, asked the political class, all parties and politicians, current and all those who will decide the fate of the country in the future, about 7 things:
  1. Introduction of European integration into the Constitution.
  2. Prompt start of accession negotiations.
  3. Transposition of European legislation.
  4. Expanding the context of the peaceful resolution of the Transnistrian conflict.
  5. Raising the standard of living with European support.
  6. Connecting to the EU infrastructure and release from energy blackmail.
  7. Condemnation of the war and active fight against people and networks that want to bring war to Moldova.
To be clear, no one can ever question this appeal of our people. Moldova is firmly moving towards integration into the European Union!” Andrei Spinu said.
