Moldovan President Maia Sandu remains the most popular politician in the country. It is evidenced by the data of the Public Opinion Barometer (POB) survey which was conducted by the Institute of Public Policies. Thus, in case of presidential elections, 29.4% of respondents are ready to vote for Maia Sandu. The former president Igor Dodon with 18.1% follows her. The third position is taken by the current mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban. 5.6% of respondents are ready to support him. Renato Usatii, the Our Party leader, is on the fourth place. He was supported by 5.1% of respondents. The fifth place was taken by the chairman of the Development and Consolidation of Moldova party, Ion Chicu, with 4.1% of respondents. The poll was conducted on August 19-23 involving 1,215 survey takers.
