Moldova is actively working on reforms in the justice sector. These efforts are recognized by international partners. This statement was made by Swedish Ambassador to Moldova Katarina Fried on the Cutia Neagră programme. The head of the diplomatic mission expressed confidence that although the complete reform of the justice system will take time, ordinary citizens will eventually see notable improvements. “Reforming justice is one of the most difficult tasks, but we need to give it time to be done adequately and correctly. It should take some time before the ordinary person will feel the benefits of the reforms underway,” Fried noted. According to the ambassador, justice should guarantee impartiality, equality and absence of any interference in judicial processes. “I think that if we focus on continuing the reform and identifying better ways in its implementation, that will be the best solution. You have already done an impressive job and continue on this path, even if it is difficult,” concluded Katarina Fried.
