Ukraine’s national X networks have reported on Maia Sandu’s call for Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren to supply Ukraine with more air defense equipment. The Ukrainska Pravda newspaper quoted Maya Sandu’s call, voiced during a meeting with a Dutch official, to provide Ukraine with more air defense systems. According to official information, the Moldovan president discussed with Kajsa Ollongren ways of strengthening the bilateral defense partnership and enhancing cyber security. “Given the fact that a Russian missile destroyed the largest power plant in the Kyiv oblast, I emphasized the urgent need to increase the number of air defense systems for Ukraine,” Maia Sandu wrote on social media. And Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after the conclusion of the Three Seas Initiative Summit in Vilnius, which was also attended by Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean, again asked for assistance in the form of air defense assets for Ukraine.
