Teodor Carnat, a PhD in constitutional law, believes that the situation with Tatiana Raducanu has put Veronica Dragalin and Maia Sandu on the barricades. Teodor Carnat said on TV that these conflicts between Veronica Dragalin and Tatiana Raducanu are organized by several internal PAS clans. “Ms. Dragalin is at odds with the PAS and Maia Sandu. When Dragalin said she would reshuffle the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, she thought the Prosecutor’s Office was really corrupt, and a few months later she said: stop, there are professionals working here. On the other hand, from a political point of view, it is inconvenient for the PAS and Maia Sandu, because they have stated that all prosecutors are corrupt, except for some with whom the PAS is already working,” states Teodor Carnat. The PhD in constitutional law believes that the PAS will promote the idea of Veronica Dragalin’s resignation, motivated by the fact that the head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office has provided no results. “They vilify Dragalin by the fact that she has provided no results since her appointment to the post. I believe that these clashes between Dragalin and Raducanu are rather organized by several internal PAS clans. A part of the PAS supports Mr. Raducanu, who nominated loyal judges to this post and put people loyal to the government in the SCJ,” Teodor Carnat stressed. As a reminder, the member of the Pre-Vetting Commission, Tatiana Raducanu, announced her resignation after the surfaced information about her ties with Veaceslav Platon and Ilan Sor. According to the letter signed by the head of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office Veronica Dragalin, the resigned member of the Commission carried out the orders of Veaceslav Platon and Aureliu Colenco, who is currently Ilan Sor’s chief lawyer. It should be recalled that judge Tatiana Raducanu resigned as a member of the Pre-Vetting Commission. She submitted her resignation to the Committee on Legal Affairs, Appointments and Immunities. In the document, Raducanu mentions that a letter was sent to state institutions questioning her professional qualities and integrity. According to a journalistic investigation, she is accused of links with fugitive Ilan Sor and scandalous businessman Veaceslav Platon. Head of State Maia Sandu said that she is waiting for concrete evidence of the accusations made by Veronica Dragalin against the member of the Pre-Vetting Commission, Tatiana Raducanu, of ties with Veaceslav Platon and Ilan Sor. At the same time, Veronica Dragalin emphasized that all text messages published in the press were not from the phones confiscated from Platon in 2016.
