The bloc’s representatives said they would continue their fight and challenge the decision in the Supreme Court. “Nothing extraordinary happened, this is an exception for our justice system, this is an exception for those who again committed this lawlessness. Our struggle continues, there are multiple points of view and methods of participation and support for our ideas and goals and of course our Victory candidate Vasile Bolea. So we keep moving forward with our plan,” Marina Tauber stated, Tv8.md reports. The CEC’s decision to refuse to register the Victory bloc for the October elections was based on several reasons. They include the similarity of the name of the bloc with the name of a political party, the ways of financing the organization, as well as the fact that Marina Tauber is on the list of international sanctions. According to CEC representatives, the Victory bloc consists of four political parties – Victory, Revival, Chance and Alternative Force Salvation of Moldova, and Marina Tauber was appointed as the bloc’s secretary. The bloc applied for registration to participate in the constitutional referendum on July 30 and on August 2 to participate in the October 20 presidential elections. The two applications were merged on August 3. Thus, the Central Election Commission rejected the registration of the Victory bloc to participate both in the campaign for or against the referendum and in the presidential elections in the fall. This also means that Vasile Bolea, who recently announced his candidacy as Victory’s candidate for the presidential election, will no longer be able to be registered as a candidate from the pro-Russian bloc. Bolya can run as an independent candidate or supported by a party that will be registered. However, the CEC decision is not final. It can be appealed to the Chisinau Court of Appeal within three days. The Victory bloc includes four parties: Chance led by Alexei Lungu, Revival led by Natalia Parasca, Alternative Force Salvation of Moldova led by Alexandru Beschieru, and Victory led by Vadim Grozavu.
