Home / Security / Media: Zelensky’s “Victory Plan” Includes the Continuation of the Operation in the Kursk Oblast
The “victory plan”, which Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will present to Western allies during his visit to the session of the UN General Assembly in New York, includes the continuation of the AFU operation in the Kursk oblast. This is reported by The Sunday Times, citing sources, meduza.io writes. There are four main points in the plan, the British outlet reports, in addition to the continuation of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk oblast, which, according to Kyiv, should strengthen the Ukrainian position in the negotiations, these are:
  • request for security guarantees from the West, similar to the mutual defense pact upon joining NATO;
  • request for “specific” modern weapons;
  • international financial assistance for the devastated economy of Ukraine.
Zelensky’s plan has not yet been made public officially. The president of Ukraine said that he would not disclose details until he meets with US President Joe Biden. The President of Ukraine added that he was going to present a “victory plan” to two candidates for the presidency of the United States — Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. Earlier, Zelensky said in an interview with NBC News that Kyiv’s “victory plan” includes five points. “Four is what we need, and one is after the war,” he said Sources of the Sunday Times also note that Biden, most likely, will not publicly announce the lifting of the ban on the use of American long-range missiles for strikes on Russian territory during Zelensky’s visit. At the same time, the outlet notes that even if this embargo is tacitly lifted, it will not have a significant impact on the course of hostilities. The Russian command, according to the Western military, has moved many aircraft and missile launch systems beyond the reach of such weapons. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky traveled to the United States on September 22. It is planned that during the visit he will speak at the UN General Assembly on September 25, and the next day he will meet with US President Joe Biden.
