US President-elect Donald Trump has not held telephone conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. Sources told Reuters and The Washington Post (WP) the day before that Trump had talked to Putin. As WP wrote, the Republican advised the Russian leader “not to escalate” the armed conflict and recalled the significant US military presence in Europe, writes rbc.ru. When asked about the reliability of the WP data, Peskov called them false. “This is the most obvious example of the quality of the information that is being published now, sometimes even in fairly reputable publications. This is completely untrue. This is completely untrue. This is pure fiction, it’s just false information,” he said. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry clarified in a comment to Reuters that Kyiv had not been informed in advance about the telephone conversation between Trump and Putin and could neither approve it nor object to it.
