Ahead of the second round of the presidential election in Romania, President Maia Sandu appealed to Romanian citizens living on the territory of Moldova to support stability and European values. “We Moldovans know how valuable freedom and security are, and we want to be part of the European family, together with Romania,” the president said, rupor.md reported. Maia Sandu said that those who are also Romanian citizens can vote this weekend to protect Romania’s achievements, which are now under threat. The Moldovan head of state also expressed her support for the Romanian presidential candidate Nicusor Dan. “Good luck, Nicusor Dan! I admire your integrity, resilience and respect for the truth. It is not easy in such populist times, but it is especially important to do what is necessary for Romania and for Moldova,” the president said.
