Independent MP Olesea Stamate (who previously left the ruling PAS party) once again proposed during Thursday’s plenary session to include on the agenda the formation of an inquiry commission regarding the amendments to the Amnesty Law.
As a reminder, the amendments previously led to the controversial release of several individuals serving life sentences, according to infotag.md.
Stamate emphasized that “new details are emerging” in this matter and that “citizens have the right to know” what exactly led to the release of dangerous criminals.
However, her former colleagues did not support the proposal.
