PSRM Backs Creation of the ‘For Moldova’ Platform and Calls for Unified Opposition

The Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) has expressed its support for the initiative to create the “For Moldova” platform, which, according to the Socialists, is aimed at consolidating and coordinating the efforts of all opposition forces in the country. In its statement, the PSRM emphasized that division within the opposition only benefits the current leadership, represented by Maia Sandu and the PAS party. “The common goal of the entire opposition today is to unite the people. The majority of the country’s citizens stand against the current leadership and want to consign this regime to the dustbin of history,” the statement reads, as reported by noi.md. The Socialists argue that in the face of power usurpation, violations of democratic norms, and sweeping censorship, it is crucial to develop a unified strategy of action against what they describe as an “anti-people regime.” The PSRM outlines its continued commitment to forging a common position and coordinating efforts ahead of the upcoming parliamentary elections – a vote the party views as decisive for the future of the Republic of Moldova.
