The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) contacted the Iranian authorities after the Israeli attack, said the organization’s Director General Rafael Grossi. According to him, Tehran informed the IAEA about the air strike on the nuclear facility in Natanz. At the same time, the Bushehr nuclear power plant was not the target of the IDF, Mr Grossi assured, according to kommersant.ru. “The IAEA is closely monitoring the extremely alarming situation in Iran. The Agency can confirm that the facility in Natanz is among the targets,” the IAEA said in a statement on social media platform X. Later, the agency reported that radiation levels at the Natanz facility had not exceeded normal levels. The Israeli Air Force launched a “pre-emptive strike” on Iranian territory last night. As a result, IRGC commander Hossein Salami, Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, and nuclear scientists were killed. According to Tehran media reports, explosions were heard at the Natanz facility.
