22 polling stations will be opened in Romania in the upcoming parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova, which will take place on 28 September 2025. This is six more than in last autumn’s elections. This was announced by Moldova’s ambassador to Romania, Victor Chirila, according to ipn.md. Most polling stations will be opened in Bucharest (five) and Iasi (three). Two polling stations will operate in Timisoara, Cluj-Napoca and Brasov. One polling station will also open in Sibiu, Oradea, Targu Mures, Craiova, Suceava, Bacau, Galati and Constanta. Moldovan citizens will be able to vote abroad using their current internal passport (buletin de identitate) or foreign passport. The term of office of the current parliament expires on 11 July. The election campaign officially begins 30 days before the election.
