Vadim Ceban will serve as acting chairman of the Board of Directors of Moldovagaz JSC until a permanent chairman is appointed.
The statement was made by Constantin Borosan, State Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, in the context of adding new members from the Republic of Moldova to the company’s Board of Directors, according to ipn.md.
Constantin Borosan specified that the new composition of the Moldovagaz Board of Directors includes three members appointed by the Republic of Moldova: Vadim Ceban, Radu Mandraburca, and Eduard Calancea.
“Last year, a competition was held for positions on the Board of Directors. The winner of the competition Dorin Junghietu, is now the Minister of Energy, and this position is incompatible with activities within a commercial company. Therefore, three of the four members of the Board of Directors were appointed. The vice-president is Vadim Ceban. Two members, Eduard Calancea and Radu Mandraburca, are representatives of the Ministry of Energy,” Borosan explained on the TVR Moldova programme “Punctul pe Azi”.
He also mentioned the general structure of the board. According to him, the board of directors consists of nine members, four of whom are appointed by the Ministry of Energy, and five are representatives of the Russian Gazprom.
The new composition of the Moldovagaz Board of Directors has a three-year mandate.
