Home / Politics / Stefan Gligor: PAS Offered the “Together” Bloc Seats in the Future Parliament
The leader of the “Together” Bloc and chairman of the Party of Change, Stefan Gligor, stated that the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) offered his party spots on the electoral lists for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
According to him, the proposal was driven by PAS’ political interests and was not related to the current disagreements within the coalition, reports realitatea.md.
“PAS has the right to offer whatever it deems appropriate based on its party interests. We confirm that such an offer was made. But Alexandru Bujorean cannot accuse us just because someone makes us an offer. Anyone is free to make offers”, he stated.
These remarks were made in the context of a statement by Alexandru Bujorean, head of the League of Cities and Communes (LOC), announcing his party’s withdrawal from the “Together” bloc. Bujorean had criticized certain coalition leaders for simulating opposition to PAS and hinting at behind-the-scenes agreements.
In response, Gligor emphasized that the disagreement between them was not caused by PAS’s offer, but rather by LOC’s push to include parties with questionable affiliations in the coalition:
“Mr. Bujorean proposed bringing into the bloc parties connected to the groups of Sor, Platon, or Plahotniuc. I was categorically against such parties and individuals, some of whom have already been convicted for looting the banking system”, Gligor emphasized.
He added that principles and reputation are important for the “Together” bloc, especially in the context of their pro-European path.
“A truly pro-European force cannot include people associated with Plahotniuc, Platon, or Sor”, Gligor concluded.
