Home / Politics / Grosu: DA Platform May Align with PAS for Elections
PAS Chairman Igor Grosu announced which political force the party will align with in the parliamentary elections. According to him, an offer to be included on the PAS list was made to representatives of the “DA Platform”, led by Dinu Plingau.
The leader of PAS noted that the initial proposal concerned the entire electoral bloc “Împreună”, but two parties from the bloc declined. These were the Party of Change, led by Stefan Gligor, and the “League of Cities and Communes,” which has completely withdrawn from the bloc. The most openness was shown by representatives of the “DA Platform,” reports deschide.md.
“We had been negotiating for some time (with the DA Platform), but we couldn’t speak publicly about it until something concrete had emerged. This was a response to numerous calls and requests from our supporters – both from within the country and abroad. We responded to this call for unity and openness. There were discussions with the bloc. It is known that one of the bloc’s formations categorically refused to cooperate. The second held a meeting last week during which the majority decided not to join the Împreună bloc.”
“I know that the third party is still in discussions and will make a final decision soon. The “DA Platform” is considering the possibility of running on the PAS lists. I can’t reveal more details – they need to make the decision themselves, but we will disclose more information later. It should be a well-thought-out decision made after internal discussions,” Grosu stated during a broadcast on Jurnal TV.
At the same time, the PAS leader denied any possible alliance with Renato Usatii’s party or with the “Alternative” bloc.
“We will form coalitions only with those who share our views and values,” Igor Grosu emphasized.
As a reminder, parliamentary elections in the Republic of Moldova are scheduled for September 28 of this year.
