Trump: Aliyev and Pashinyan to Sign Peace Agreements in the US

US President Donald Trump said he is looking forward to hosting the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, at the White House. “These two nations have long been at war, resulting in the loss of thousands of lives. Many leaders have tried to end the war, but to no avail,” he posted on Truth Social, kommersant.ru reports. He said the US administration has been engaging with both sides for “quite a long time.” On August 8, representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan will sign “peace agreements” in the US, the US president added. “The United States will also sign bilateral agreements with both countries to pursue economic development together,” Mr. Trump said.
