Home / Politics / Central Election Commission Ordered the Democracy at Home Party to Change Its Electoral List
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has decided that the Democrația Acasă (Democracy at Home) party must amend its list of candidates for the parliamentary elections within 24 hours.
The decision was made after two women were removed from the list, resulting in non-compliance with the mandatory quota of at least 40% female representation, according to noi.md.
In addition, the CEC issued warnings to both the Democracy at Home party and the Alliance for the Union of Romanians for violating certain provisions of the law.
Thus, the Democracy at Home party must make the necessary changes within the established time frame in order to continue participating in the election race.
As a reminder, parliamentary elections will be held on 28 September 2025.
