A four-year mission by a Bundeswehr expert group has begun, which will assist in the implementation of projects to modernize the Moldovan National Army. The head of the German military expert group, Lieutenant Colonel Oliver Lotze, was introduced on 6 October during a meeting between Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatii and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Chisinau, according to Logos-Press. The mission consultants will analyses the country’s defense capabilities based on the provisions of the intergovernmental agreement between Moldova and Germany, signed on 15 May 2025 in Berlin and ratified by the Moldovan Parliament on 10 July 2025.
