Home / Politics / Munteanu: I Will Not Join Any Political Party – I’m More of a Manager
The candidate for Prime Minister of Moldova, Alexandru Munteanu, does not plan to join the PAS party or any other. He prefers the role of a “technocrat” or “manager,” who would be less involved in politics.
When asked whether Munteanu had been invited to join the ruling party – given that he is an “outsider,” something not everyone in PAS welcomes – the prime ministerial candidate replied: “You know, at my age it’s already difficult... I will not join any political party, because I don’t think it would change anything. I prefer to remain unaffiliated,” reports tv8.md.
“The word ‘technocrat’ is already overused, so let’s just say I’m more of a ‘manager.’ I’ll try to build and coordinate the team’s efforts so that life here becomes better for all of us,” Munteanu added.
He noted that he is ready to serve a full four-year term as prime minister if necessary, but he does not plan to become part of Moldovan politics in the long run, intending instead to return to his previous life.
