The government headed by Alexandru Munteanu appointed Radu Vrabie as director of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova at its first meeting today. This decision was made after the dismissal of former head Alexandru Iacub, who left the agency a year after his appointment, according to noi.md. Previously, Radu Vrabie held the position of project manager for the implementation of the EU-Moldova Development Plan worth €1.9 billion, aimed at modernizing the economy, reforming public institutions and gradually integrating the country into the single European market. According to the information, the new head of the Customs Service will contribute to accelerating institutional reforms, digitizing customs processes and harmonizing procedures with European standards in the context of the Republic of Moldovaэs convergence with the European Unionэs economic space.
