These incidents are being examined under two articles of the Criminal Code: “Unauthorized entry, exit, or transit through the airspace of the Republic of Moldova” and “Delivery, placement, activation, or detonation of an explosive or other lethal device,” noi.md reports, citing Europa Libera. The items seized at the scene will undergo a full forensic examination, including fingerprinting, physical and chemical testing, and explosive analysis. There are no suspects or defendants in the case file. The Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases states that it is investigating the circumstances “that will allow it to determine the country from which the explosive devices were launched.” As in previous cases, Moldovan authorities condemned the latest incident, which took place on November 19. Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said that Moldova “supports Ukraine and calls for an immediate end to the ongoing war, which is causing suffering to millions of Ukrainians.” The foreign ministry stated that such actions “seriously violate national sovereignty” and “pose major risks to the safety of citizens and regional stability.”
