Five new MPs represent the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS), two represent the Our Party (NP) party, and one represents the Alternativa electoral bloc, whose representatives did not attend the meeting.
On Monday, 24 November, the Constitutional Court approved the credentials of eight new MPs who will join parliament following recent resignations, according to moldova1.md.
“The following individuals are hereby declared members of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova with valid mandates: Ana Oglinda, Efimia Bandalac, Vladimir Rusu, Vasile Portevschi and Oleg Canatui from the Action and Solidarity Party list, Constantin Cuiumju and Nicolae Margarint from the Our Party list, and Angela Cutasevici, candidate from the Alternative electoral bloc list,” said Domnica Manole, President of the Constitutional Court.
The decision is final, not subject to appeal, and takes effect on the date of adoption.
Since the current parliament began its work on 22 October, 16 MPs have resigned, most of them from the PAS faction. Some of them have joined Munteanu’s government or taken up other government positions, while others, such as Dorin Recean and Artur Mija, have left politics.
